Introduction
Informational

I'll tell you a story...

Once upon a time when the seas had frozen over, and the world had slipped into chaos, an ice bridge formed from the mainlands far yonder the rolling ocean. The ice bridge linked the mainland to the island chain En Casse Regae, granting passage to those quick enough to take advantage of the opportunity. Within five years, the world warmed up again, and the ice bridge slowly faded into myth. Domestic dogs were the only animals, not native to En Casse Regae, that were capable of both surviving and adapting to the change of environment.

That all happened seven generations ago, and now memory of the mainland and the mythical ice bridge have faded from the minds of the new born generation. The breeds that once crossed the bridge have intermingled and become little more than nondescript mixes. The traces of these breeds still remain, both strong and vague, in the faces of the canine descendants.

The climate has become considerably warmer, with barely any snowfall in the winter, falling only in isolated forest regions. The islands have been divided up, taken claim by dog packs. The "mainland" is the central, and largest island, Crabclaw, of which many dogs claim origin.

The myriad regions of Regae are as unique as they are wild, and the faces that take up residence upon the islands are just as strange. The structure of life varies from cadre to cadre, from the laid back to the strict, from fighting to anarchy. But this is not a land of rainbows and sunsets; watchful eyes never stray far from their target. Danger is omnipresent...

The End?

His ears twitched at the sound of Hisoka growl. He continued to gnaw on the skull but attempted to be a little less aggressive about it. His fangs could feel the bones starting to part around the eye but he was attempting to be careful enough not to damage it. He finally broke part of the eye cavity away, which exposed his trophy, and he carefully began to suck the eye out of its socket. Once he felt the tendons in his teeth he carefully clamped them off. He held the strange eye in his jaws and he looked almost god like. His two bright eyes shinned with the strays eye staring at the possible fight before them. He turned to watch the possible death of the strange new female. She didn’t seem like the cannibal type. No, she was arrogant and considered her self superior. This was a mistake in his eyes and if she did gain acceptance by Hisoka for what ever reason, that wouldn’t mean she would be accepted by the rest of the pack.

Terri grunted dryly as Tira lunged, she had already with drawn a distance that would have to make Tira lunge quite far- and from that bulk, Terri knew she would not make it without clamping her fangs on air. Terri's flitted to the right, her long legs letting her drift out of harm's way... she listened for any change in Tira's movement for a split second, then aimed for the back side of the female. It would either hit the bulky dog and cause meager pain or miss by hair, before she even bit down- she made the quickest glance at Nich- a signal that Tira was open for her to attack as well. She needed to think this through, she didn't want to waste her breath on fighting the cocky female, she wanted this over with... which would happen shortly.

Being no novice to violence, Nicholai knew her place in the fray, and that was beneath the target's feet. If she was short enough to get in between the dog's legs, then she could go for the open stomach or heels, as long as her partner kept the opponent busy. And certainly, the dog could not manage to parry both their attacks, she had only one mouth afterall.

Nicholai short for the opening, her only real fear was being trampled or crushed between the two larger dogs. She was not a capable fighter on her own, cut made for a semi-worthwhile battle companion. In the least, she could complicate and burden the movements of this arrogant bitch, for she knew that to counter Terri would leave her open for Nich, and for her to block Nich would leave her open to Terri.

Because we have been waiting on one person, and that person has not posted in over a week, Hisoka will time-skip the event and decide how it played out.

(sorry blackrose I'd already made my decision prior to this)

Past events

The fight was two against one and Hisoka watched as the females fought, leaving B forgotten on the side lines. This amused him as his ear twitched as Zen’s crunching silenced and he glanced back to see the eye between his jaws. But despite the distraction the fight raged as difference in skill and ability gradually became clearer. Of course this was in favour of his females, not the stray bitch that’d swaggered onto the scene. After a little while a stray thought played about in his mind, as he considered the amusement he’d have if he accepted her. Despite this the packs views were clear and he could easily see a stormy future ahead. Well depending on how long she’d manage to stay alive, which wouldn’t be long with his group of butchers. After a little while he rose and with swift movement he knocked the females away from each other. “Enough there’s no point continuing this,” He said grimly as his cold blue eyes stared down at the stray.

Suddenly he glanced back at his females with a growl of warning and a flash of his teeth. He knew that even he couldn’t cool the fiery intentions of the females to end the fight. Either he was ready to knock some sense into them if they persisted, but with a irritable sniff he turned back to Tira. “Get out of here fair game, before my dogs find some place in their bellies for you.” He said as he looked down at her his expression cold and distant. “Your approach was enough to turn them against you, and that’s enough for me. Now go and see if some other pack is willing to put up with you!” He snapped. After a little while they were alone once more as he kept an eye on the others making sure that the stray had the chance to escape. Time past, tempers cooled and wounds started to heal as they went back to their daily routine. In the meantime he continued to keep an eye on B and Zen as they settled within the pack.

Current time

Their current base had been moved to the dark thicket close to the Northern coast of Crabclaw island. At this moment in time he hadn’t spoken much to others within the pack as he mulled on an interesting idea he’d had. Finally he called them together, as he settled onto his haunches in front of them. It’d been a week since he’d let the stray go, but he had something of considerable interest to speak to them about.

The stray had been let go and she was lucky enough to be allowed to leave. Had it been up to Zen her life would have been demised. However, there was a reason Hisoka had let her live. He wouldn’t protest to that. As the days had faded on he had taken the time to explore the pack lands a little. This would allow him to familiarize his self with the setting of his new environment. His attention was triggered as Hisoka had called for the pack to meet. So in response to the call he made his way quickly to the newly gathered pack. His ears twitched and a sense of sadness washed over him. His enjoyment in the eye he had gained a week ago had died as the poor thing shriveled up. He would need a new trophy soon and he was begging to become somewhat hungry again.

Past

Her form seemed to slither away from Tira as Hisoka interrupted their brawl. She licked her lips hastily and shook her head to rid her of her want for battle, she lowered her eyes but kept her head high. It was a fine fight, but she felt ripped apart as Hisoka came in to cease it. Terry muttered under her breath a small curse as Hisoka growled his warning at herself and Nich, she was tempted to growl back...but knew that would lead to a punishment she didn't yet want to meet. When Hisoka placed his judgement on Tira she couldn't help but grin immensly and make a yip of happiness, she only knew too well that the female would be tortured by Terri and the rest of the pack. Well, she couldn't be sure of that, Hisoka may "ruin the fun" if it got out of hand, she grunted and was soon back into her fowl mood, only a flicker of content burned in her body as they started to extend the ditance between themselves and the abnoxious Tira.

Present

"What a bore," Terri sighed to herself as she trotted towards Hisoka's call to them, It'd been a week since they left Tira to herself and Terri still hung onto the memory. She had a mixture of relief but anger when they departed from Tira, she wanted the fight to lead onto the strays death, but she also had wounds that were highly annoying. And so, she shook herself free from her repeating thoughts and trudged toward Hisoka, hopefully something that didn’t bore her to tears would happen.

(that's quite alright, no need to say sorry to the respone you gave. :) )
Past: Tira was just beginning to feel the sting of her wounds, ready to go all out in the fight, but Hisoka butted in. With that warning, Tira ran off with as much speed as she could muster. She felt angry for a moment, but mostly neutral. She almost knew she would'nt have been accepted, many packs who have filled their higher raking positions would hate her. She grunted with anger at herself as she ran as far as her legs would take her.

Present: Tira was currently miles from Hisoka's territory, and she realized something. "Maybe those dogs were right....I need a slight attitude adjustment," she became enraged quickly after that stupid thought, "and I just realized that? After all these years and I just now realize I've been acting like a total fucking BITCH?" She growled to herself in fury, then simply kept walking further and further away from the territory that she had almost gotten herself killed on.

Breathless in the dust, tired and trampled. What a week's pass had done was very little; the stray come and gone but they still licking their wounds. Nich's own demise had been the scratches to the face, where she had gotten stuck in the crossfire. As their feet came crashing down, and she beneath them, their claws tore at the place where the protective fur was thinnest. Beyond that, her joints were aching too, and her hip sore from when another dog had toppled over her.

But even with the injuries, Nicholai had the put the entire incident way beyond her. It was over, with nothing to show but their fading wounds. Now was the present, a place frozen in time but desperately moving forward. Nich was already on the sidelines, waiting for whatever news Hisoka could bring them. Her eyes lifted to the overly eager Zen, who's sickening desire in his vice of gluttony was worn like a mask to a masquerade party. And then the gossiping hen, too arrived, but Nich was not interested with the affairs of ol' Terri.

Watching the fight from the sidelines, all that B could think of was how much he wanted to be in that fight. He had yet to prove himself, and even in a pack with similar tastes to his own he found surprisingly few chances to actually get in a good fight. When Hisoka broke up the fight, B was glad when he learned the stray would not be joining. The more dogs in the pack, the less meat for each of them after a kill.

The past week had been an especially boring one for the giant mute. He decided that it would be best to stay out of the leader's attention so he stayed in the shadows like he so often did. It was only by mere chance that he head Hisoka's call for the pack to assemble. When he walked into the pack's area he saw that he was one of the last to arrive. Walking to what he hoped was a comfortable area, he didn't even notice that he passed Nicholai on the way.

Even though he didn’t care much Hisoka knew the past week had been pretty dull for his merry bunch of Cannibals. But all dogs needed time for wounds, honour and bruises to heal and between them they had their fair share of damages. Some more than others but that was to be expected within his pack, he thought to himself as he looked at each dog in turn. Suddenly he hunched his neck as he looked up at them not as dogs but as blood, bones and flesh. At this thought his mouth salivated slightly as blackened lips curled into a dark grin. But as soon as the light of madness and bloodlust appeared in his eyes it soon passed. He roughly shook his head to clear the deliciously bloody images as he returned to his former position. These odd moments occurred so often lately that the dogs before him should be used to it. But despite what they might think this state had been self induced from increased sleep and limited eating. But it was all part of his plan..

With a casual second shake of his head he sighed before allowing them a toothy grin. “Now then its good that you all came here swiftly,” He said thoughtfully as he glanced up at the dark tree canopy. “There’s little cursed light left so we can spend the night travelling…” The male continued obscurely. “There’s not been much kill in this area…also its been…” He sneered, “A bit boring here.” With a slight pause to scratch himself he finally chose to put them out of their misery. “Now I planned some fun for you sorry bunch, and through it we’ll get to play…” He glanced at Zen. “Torture…” He turned to Terry. “Eat…” He said with a grin at Nich. “And finally you can get a chance to properly prove yourselves.” He said as he ended on B.

“As to how I intend to do all that we need meat, and to get meat we need dogs…a lot of them.” Hisoka said as he watched them all to see if any of them would click at this point. Suddenly his hackles flared as he roughly shook his head, “Damn it all…don’t make me spell it out to you.” He snapped as he had another one of his moments before unexpectedly chuckling to himself. What he found amusing was that if he dragged this out any longer the chance of him attacking one of the others increased.

“Ahem, now where was I…” He said calmly. “Yes, well I’m bored of this area so we need a change of scenery for a bit and the easiest places to find food is…within the packs.” A toothy grin split his maw, “Now does any of you have a problem with attacking our neighbours as a little…holiday?” He asked them as his eyes fell briefly on Nich before turning to the others, “Oh and by the way, If any of you don’t like the plan then I’ll thank you in advance as you’ll serve as a tasty farewell snack for the pack.” He sneered. “Now that’s settled…do any of you have a preference of location?” Hisoka asked as he added, “We have the big balled Herion and his harem of bitches, to the North East. Or the most egotistical Bitch of all bitches Kuro, to the North West. Then on the sidelines there’s the flea bitten rag tag of stray mutts that have gathered somewhere to the south. I have no preference, so tell me yours the sooner the better…” He said as he offered a slight smile to take the edge off of his threat.

Terri sat patiently and quietly, feeling oddly at eeze and warm in the now dissapearing rain. She lay her head back and rolled her shoulders and seemed to purr like a cat as she seaped into one of the oddest sensations she had ever had. Terri did not mind if her pack mates eyes might be penetrating her with confusion and disgust, she was not going to let up this warm and beautiful feeling. Although her little event seemed to be long for herself, she had only had a few seconds to enjoy it for once Hisoka's words met her ears her eyes dilated largly and she sat tensely. Terri's head snapped back and she felt dizzy from her experiance... She had heard snipets of Hisoka's speach as she sorted through her mind.

torture, pleasing... neighbors...attack...snack...Herion, Kuro, and a new pack? She coughed raggedly and dared to ask, "A 'stray pack' you say?" she wondered if they would be any fun, then she thought of Herion... she'd heard him with through others with only hetred in their voices. She also listened carefully of the massive leader of the Driftwood Dogs, whom she didn't want to meet in battle. Herion or Kuro would be worthy opponents of Hisoka, the battle of the three would be epic. Yet, she had heard that the two sexist leaders were bound to meet in a bloody battle someday. She agreed with all who predicted this and soon enough she made her decision, "I'd like either to travel to either Herion's pack of brutes or Kuros empire of bitches.,"

Empire was what she though Kuro's pack would eventually come when she gathered enough stray's... and she was not pleased at the thought. Terri would join sides with Herion, if ever, whom she thought to be an idiotic and self-relied dog on only brute strenght. Maube she was over estimating herself if she thought she could play Herion into falling of his perch as a leader, but if she could, she'd try. Terri finally looked at Hisoka from her deep thoughts and smailed grimly, anticipating the packs holiday greatly.

She didn't like that look in his eyes, that empty but animalistic stare. It seemed to penetrate you, looking through the person; knife eyes that delicately set to work at carving up the soul. They were not his comrades, nor even his subordinates. They were just tag-a-longs, disposable dogs in waiting to be picked off. When the time came, it all came down to who had the stronger jaws, and who had the quickest mind.

It was decided then, of Hisoka's trustworthiness. Nicholai made a note to avoid taking up any of the brute's offers for midnight strolls alone, out of sight and sound reach. Not that it matter who she was amongst, none of the dogs had any loyalty in them, it was a concept beyond their reach. Everyday, Nicholai took for granted just how close to death she was. Everyday without a successful hunt put Nich one step closer to the eternal darkness.

"I think our daring leader might have other business ideas about going Northeast." She joked with brazen certainty. Unfortenately, Nicholai did not doubt that her joke could very well play to truth. "A pack of females, and we're to think that the only thing on his mind his lunch? Although I'm damn sure Zen and B have similar thoughts." It was dangerous ground, but all for the sake of appearance. "What about the thrill of the stalk and chase? Fighting off a horde of bruisers may prove you have balls but, tracking strays sounds more natural, more interesting."

His attention was distracted for a moment as he wanted the rain fall from the sky. The tiny drop lets looked as though they were dancing down to kiss the ground beneath him. He shook his coat and let out a small yawn. He was somewhat bored at the moment and could go for a small meal. He shifted his weight as their elected leader spoke of the possible ambushes and tracking they could do. He was interested in what the rest of the pack would elect for them to do.

As for the suggestive words or rather word thrown in Zens direction he was a little taken back. Torture was the word Hisoka seemed to think would appeal to Zens better nature. He obviously didn't comprehend exactly what type of killer Zen was. He was an artiest when it came to his kills. He watched them, took them in, and then decided the best way he should end their life. He studied them as if they were some kind of pone in his twisted little game of risk. Yet, they were the one taking the risk when they approached him. He didn't torture them, always, no he had different ways of killing from time to time. This all depended on his idea of their death. So the word didn't get a reaction out of Zens smug smile. No, he sat and simply disregarded the little word and listened to the others speak.

Well seeing as Terri and Nicholai had given their opinions it seemed on the current hierarchy of the pack he was next to speak. Nicholai seemed to think all males were open minded? Well Zen wasn't interested in anything other than his kills and their trophy's. The idea of mating didn't cross his aggressively hungry mind. He had planted his seed a long time ago and his desires for sex were nonexistent. So the idea of killing a pack of males or a stray pack seemed to purge his interest. "I like the idea of hunting either the herion pack or the strays." he said simply. His voice was as neutral as could be. He seemed to lack any kind of excitement or emotion in his few spoken words. His hyperactivity would come with the thrill of the hunt.
